I find while inspecting in Renton Washington that it takes a lot of experience to inspect in this area. Renton, Bellevue, Seattle, and the surrounding areas of Washington have homes that take a trained eye to understand, also someone with a great deal of experience working on these homes with their own hands. Home inspectors come in all shapes and sizes, but only the best continue to inspect in Washington.
One of the things in the home inspection industry that still baffles me though, is why we don’t do the home inspection FIRST? We go through all of this trouble to buy a home, and then all of a sudden we have a home inspection and everything goes back to the drawing board. The buyers are surprised (as well as the sellers), the agents scramble to fix things, and the mortgagor starts taking a more critical look at things. So consider getting a pre-listing home inspection to help remove some of the stress of a real estate transaction.
